Jamaica's postal service is the responsibility of the Post and Telecommunications Department, a Department under the Ministry of Science, Technology, Enery and Mining.
The
Post Office is headquartered at the Central Sorting Office
on South Camp Road in Kingston and constitutes a network
of Post Offices and Postal Agencies across the country. The
Postmaster General of Jamaica, who is assisted by two Deputies
and a senior management team,
leads the Department. Operational control is achieved through
a team of 11 Regional Managers.
Post
Offices offer a full range of postal services including the
acceptance and delivery of mail and the sale of postage stamps.
Our opening hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
Postal
Agencies however, operate on a part-time basis, offering
a restricted range of postal services.
