CWC stamps make great souvenirs for collectors

THE JAMAICAN postal administration released its Cricket World Cup 2007 series on Wednesday, February 28.

This is an omnibus series of postage stamps using similar designs and involves other West Indies host nations. They will make a wonderful souvenir for visitors and stamp collectors alike. Postage stamps can be displayed in the collectible key ring or ruler sold at post offices islandwide as a wonderful keepsake of this memorable international
event.

LIMITED QUANTITY

Jamaica Post will be selling stamps to its regular collectors (philatelists) as well as members of the public. Prospective purchasers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to get stamps early, as there is a limited quantity of the Cricket World Cup (CWC) stamps available as part of the rules established by the governing body. FIRST-DAY COVERS

A first-day cover is a special type of postage stamp souvenir in which all the stamps in a series are presented on an envelope, in that it is decorated with a design to the left of the envelope and all the stamps are presented to the upper right.
